PERSONAL FINANCIAL SEMINAR
HOW MONEY WORKS!
All families, teachers, and staff are invited to attend the upcoming Personal Financial Seminar on Monday, November 15th, 2004 at 7:00 pm in the Gymnasium. This will be an opportunity for all of us to learn about: 1) How one can save for a child's education
2) Industry stats on proper budgeting allocations
3) The 5 most common credit mistakes
4) Ways to lower taxes
5) How to become an owner instead of a borrower, among other topics.

Instrument Drive
Instruments… Instruments… Instruments… We need instruments. Do you have a violin in your attic? Did you buy a guitar and don't ever use it any more?
Did you inherit a set of congas from your cousin when they bought a new set? Did your child stop playing their trombone and you don't know what to do with it? Give it to Westlake. In November, we're having an instrument drive. We'll take anything from stringless strings to bent-belled brass
instruments. We are also in need of amplifiers for electronic instruments, instrument cases, instrument accessories, keyboards, and recording equipment. The instruments will either be fixed up to be used for needy students, sold for profit in the music department, or used in a variety of ways at Westlake.

Friends of Westlake Choir
Attention parents, faculty, alumni, board members, parents of alumni,
grandparents of alumni, and all friends of WCA: Do like to hum? Do you like
to sing? Do you want to be in a choir? Regardless of your musical talents or
experiences, we're looking for a few good people who want to lift their
voices in praise to create the new Friends of Westlake Choir! If you are

Monday, November 8th at 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm, Tuesday, November 9th at 7:00 pm, and Friday, November 12th at 3:30 pm. All meetings will be held in the Westlake Library and will last between thirty minutes and an hour. Can't wait to see you there!
