2009-10 Scheduling Information and Forms
This year we have taken some big steps to improve the educational program of Westlake Christian Academy. We have added new modules for our high school students and continue to offer online learning through Sevenstar Academy. You will notice that Grade Level Course Scheduling Forms, a downloadable Course Descriptions Catalog, as well as an electronic version of the Course Catalog, are now right here on our website. Also we are continuing with spring scheduling for fall junior and senior high school courses. Doing so allows us to develop a quality program for your child, as well as these other benefits:
  • It provides students with the best opportunity to take the courses they desire because it gives the school plenty of time to try and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • It allows the faculty to know and prepare in advance for the courses they will be teaching next year.
  • It allows the administration to pursue the appropriate number of faculty for the fall.
  • It allows the administration to pursue the best possible faculty candidates.
  • It allows the school time to order the appropriate quantity of materials, equipment and furniture forthe start of school.
  • It allows the school to better schedule classroom usage.
  • It allows a student to better plan if they desire to schedule a college or summer school course.
Below are course sign-up forms for each grade level, and a Course Descriptions Catalog that includes graduation requirements and an outline of a typical four-year educational plan. Mr. Jeff Wilcox will be attempting to meet with each student in person before the school year ends; however if that’s not possible he will contact them during the month of June to complete their schedule.

Please understand that a master schedule is always tentative and WCA reserves the right to modify as necessary. The final schedule will be determined by course enrollment, classroom and faculty availability.
