Why Should You Choose Westlake?
You face many choices today for the education of your child. Public school, home school, private school... you want what is best for your child, and you have the responsibility to "train up a child in the way he should go."
In considering a Christian education, Westlake Christian Academy stands ready to come alongside you and assist in the task of making disciples, prepared and ready for service in our Lord's kingdom. We offer a faculty that shares your priority for building up students in their Christian faith in a world that has become increasingly hostile to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The foremost goal of WCA is to become the first choice of parents and students seeking a Christ-centered elementary and secondary education where the truth of the Bible is integrated into every aspect of school life. We aim to teach students to think, speak, write, and act in a Christian manner in preparation for life's challenges and to model Christ in their school, church, workplace, and community.
We focus on:
- Expanding each student's Biblical worldview.
- Building Christian Character.
- Instilling a commitment to lifelong learning.
The faculty and staff devote their energy to each student's academic competency, preparing each for higher education and leadership potential, while facilitating career/life planning skills.
ACT Test Scores Comparison: Lake County, IL Schools
There are a number of ways to evaluate a school’s academic program. One of those is a comparison of test
scores. One common instrument which Westlake Christian Academy uses is student ACT score results.
The ACT test is a nationally recognized college assessment tool used:
- to help students make better decisions about which colleges to attend and which programs to study
- to provide information helpful to colleges both in the process of admitting students and in ensuring their
success after enrollment
ACT test scores results are a good indicator of college readiness. Westlake is pleased that on the average,
its students score just as well or better than many local schools. Within its resources, Westlake Christian Academy desires to provide as many students as possible with a quality Christian education which prepares them for a life of service in their community. Thus Westlake accepts students with a wide range of academic ability and is diligent to develop their intellectual capabilities.
The following table provides an overview of Westlake ACT scores as compared to those of Lake County
schools.
