- Semester exams are given for high school courses only (grades 9-12). The only exception is 8th grade students taking Algebra I.
- Most courses will be giving semester exams, i.e. math, science, history, English, Bible, etc. A few courses (P.E., choir, yearbook, etc.) do not lend themselves to semester exams as well as other courses but students may be given semester exams in them if the teacher desires.
- The semester exams account for 20% of the student’s grade for the semester.
- WCA utilizes an open campus concept during exam week for 9th through 12th grades:
- Students are only required to attend school for their class exam times.
- Students may leave campus when their last exam of the day is completed.
- Students who finish early are required to stay in exams/study halls until the bell rings, unless the school office calls for their early dismissal.
- Students who are on campus but not taking an exam will be required to attend a supervised study hall.
- Students who need to make up exams due to an excused absence will do so on Monday, January 5th, beginning at 3:30 pm.
- Student attire for exams is regular school uniform.
- Students are expected to use their time wisely in preparation for the exams.
- Parents, it is important that you and your child communicate with each other clearly so you know where he/she is when off campus.
