Playground Installation Day is Saturday, June 22nd!
Your help is needed to install our new elementary playground! Westlake will be hosting a Community Build day on Saturday, June 22nd. As many volunteers as possible are needed. Click here to volunteer.
You can also volunteer on Friday, June 21st to unpackage the playground components and sort all of the parts in preparation for the Saturday build. Click here to volunteer.
Childcare will be available at the school from 8am-Noon on both days, and our Parents Association will be providing lunch.
Information for Volunteers
Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to work outside.
Please bring the following items with you (if available):
- work gloves
- hat/sunglasses
- shovels and rakes for spreading mulch
- wheelbarrow
- sunscreen
The following items will be provided:
- water
- granola bars
- lunch (pizza)
- tools for assembling playground
A New Playground for Westlake Students
Please join us in giving thanks to God for providing the resources to replace the elementary playground structure at Westlake. We are grateful to our friends at Casa D’Oracion for completing the demolition of old playground.
The new playground project includes replacing part of the chain link fence and installing new wood playground mulch. The existing swing set will be painted and refurbished with new swings.
We already have $21,000 committed toward our $25,000 goal. You can donate or raise awareness by sharing our playground crowdfunding campaign. You can also make your own fundraising page and share it via email and social media.
