Pre-school, Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten Admission Process
As you investigate Westlake as a possible school for your child, please don’t hesitate to call our office or make an appointment to talk with our administrative staff and teachers and hear their vision for building up the next generation of Christian leaders. We will be glad to give you a tour of our facility. You are also invited to visit one of our Open Houses (see dates and times at right). Steps in the Early Education Admissions Process
Application
To initiate the application process, complete the Student Application and submit to the school along with:
- Non-refundable application fee of $25 per student
- Pastoral Recommendation
- Birth Certificate
NOTE: Applications will be processed after all the above information is submitted and the application is complete.
Interview
After the completed student application has been reviewed by the administrator, parents of qualified applicants will be scheduled for a family interview. A final decision regarding admission will be made after the interview and the prospective family will be notified as soon as possible.
Enrollment
Upon acceptance to WCA, families will begin the enrollment process during which necessary information is collected and a payment plan is established prior to starting school. The family will receive a Parent/Student Handbook and other information such as school dress code, hot lunch, school calendar, school supplies, etc.
Enrollment must be completed prior to the student’s first day of school.
To complete enrollment, the following forms must also be submitted:
- All required medical documentation (see below) is required before school begins
- Ethnicity form
- Emergency Contact form
- Before/After Care Registration form (optional). For a description of this program, click here.
State of Illinois Medical Exam Requirements
Prior to the first day of school, documentation of completed medical exam/s must be provided to the school office. See below.
- Health Exams (including immunization records) are required for all new students and students entering Kindergarten
- Dental Exams are required for students entering Kindergarten
- Vision Exams are required for students entering Kindergarten
Your healthcare provider will likely have the required exam forms provided by the state of Illinois. If they do not, however, forms are available in the school office.
